My First Custom Designed Surfboard

This summer I went surfing for the first time. I quickly feel in love with it and once I learned that “life is better when you surf” I decided to get my own surfboard. Designing for yourself is always tough, but after I pinned down the right colors, and sorted through the handful of designs, I picked the artwork pictured above, made by Album surfboards. This is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Rianna's Senior Photos

It's that time of year again! For Rianna's senior photos we went to the Art District in downtown Los Angeles and stopped by UCLA before the sun began to set. Taking photos during golden light is one of my favorite time of day to get that dusty look in a shot.

Newborn Babies

Newborn baby pictures are so peaceful. My coworker had twin boys two weeks ago and I got to stage a photo session at his home. I wasn't able to get clear photos of both babies before they started crying, so here are my favorites!

Saddleback OC Photo Summit

Today was the Saddleback OC Photo Summit in Lake Forest. Guest speakers included Jennifer Wu (fine art and nature photographer), Jasmine Star (wedding photographer), Piper Mackay (world, wildlife and cultural photographer) and Kristi Sutton Elias (fine art portrait photographer). The afternoon session included hands on workshops with shooting zones. There were five different workshops to choose from and I decided to go to the action and event photography with Chris Ortiz because I wanted to learn how to shoot moving objects. I don't picture myself as being an action photographer but it turned out to be pretty fun capturing the skaters in action. Keep a look out for the next Photo Summit at Saddleback!
